Chef & Owner
David was raised in Eastern Washington most of his life, but has also lived and traveled to many places throughout his life. Growing up, his parents once co-owned a Thai restaurant, where he first experienced the food world. He graduated from Pasco High School in 2000 and received his Associate's Degree from Columbia Basin College in 2002. He went on to study at The Art Institute of Seattle, where he graduated in 2005 with a degree in Fashion Design. Working as a waiter throughout his college life and being exposed to many different cuisines, he developed a deep appreciation for good food. After college, he moved to Los Angeles, CA & spent the next 10 years working as a Fashion Designer in the fashion industry. In 2015, he took a trip to Cambodia, Laos, & Thailand where he fell in love with the street food culture. In 2017, he decided to leave fashion and move back to Tri-Cities, WA to be closer to his family and start his own business. Ninja Bistro launched in 2018, allowing him to be creative and share his love of food with everyone back in his hometown. He also has a heart for philanthropy. In his spare time, he volunteers for World Relief in Tri-Cities, aiding refugees. He's also a co-founder and chairman of a non-profit "Children of the Son" which supports orphans in Mexico.
